Re-Design Launch Party & Giveaway!

As many of you know, we have gone through multiple layouts here at The Book Pushers. Not long ago we decided to undergo another change and worked tirelessly at coming up with logos, designs, color schemes and all those fun things that come with a re-design.

As you can see, we are SO incredibly happy with the final product. We think the new design gives the blog a classy and fantastical feel.

We would like to give a shout out to super extraordinaire book illustrator Joanne Renaud, the incredible designer of our new header and logo. Joanne, you did an amazing job and we are so happy with the final product.

We’d also like to give huge thanks to our very own Lou. She has re-designed the site, is working on our new Twitter page, and created new avatars based on the new logo. Lou, without you we would be stuck.

So today we say goodbye to the trusty old beige theme and welcome in the new Book Pushers!

To celebrate the launch of the new redesign, us Book Pushers have pooled together and are giving away the biggest prize to date! (We are sorry, but due to Geographical and Tax Restrictions – only open to US and the UK)

  1. I love the colors!! I would love the Kindle pack but both look awesome!

My fav romance of all time would have to be the entire BDB series…specifically Zsadist and Bella or Viscious and Jane…but I love them all!

    Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  2. Barbara Elness

I like the stripes and all the shades of green – the design is great and the page loads quickly.
I’d love to win either the Kindle or the Print Package, but if I have to choose one, I’d choose the Kindle.
My all time favorite Romance Novel – right now I’d choose The Iron Duke (it changes all the time since there are so many awesome books out there still to read).

  3. The new blog definitely has a classic feel. Nice! Congrats on the new look! I’ve love either prize but if i need to pick i’m going with the kindle please. My favorite book i’ll say books is anything written by Julie Garwood. I have so many favorites but she was my first favorite author and i love all her work.

    Lisa B

  4. I LOVE the art work on top and the color scheme – very whimsical.

Let’s see…I think I have to go for the Kindle entry, that’s just too many shiny, shiny books to not try for.

Oh, God, choose only one?? I guess, if held over the fires of Mount Doom, I’d have to say…The Shadow and the Star by Laura Kinsale.

  5. library addict

    Nice new look.

Both packages look great, so after einey meany please enter me in the digital one.

  6. Diane Sallans

That header is great – love the Iris’s! And a fabulous contest – I don’t have an eBook yet!
    I’ll enjoy following your blog!

  7. Jennifer M (OR)

I love this design. I especially love how easy it is on the eyes to read. I would love to be entered in this awesome giveaway. My favorite romance novel (at least right now, ask me twenty minutes later and it might change) is Angel’s Blood by Nailini Singh.

  8. The redesign is quick and clean – beautiful, legible and useful! Great design!

My all-time favorite romance is titled _The Prize_ but I don’t recall the author. It was a hand-me-down, historical romance from a friend when we were living abroad in high school. My first and favorite… I wish I hadn’t passed it along.

Enter me for the kindle/digital package please!

  9. I love the colors and whimsical and happy feel of the site. The redesign is great.

I would like to enter for the print entry.

This is great. I will visit more often because it has such a nice, warm, spirited design.

  10. Ruth Smithson

I really like the colors. They are very relaxing.

I think both prize packages are great and look like lots of fun, but I would like to enter for the Kindle prize package please.

There are so many great romance books it is hard to pick just one. However if I have to pick one my favorite romance book (right now) would be Corralled by Lorelei James.

    Ruth Smithson

  11. I just found your blog via a Jaci Burton post on facebook.
I’m currently entering to for a chance to win one of the fabulous prizes 😀 Don’t have a preference 😀
My favorite romance… There are so many to choose from… I would have to say the Sweet Series by Maya Banks. Love those books 😀

  12. I love the illustration at the top, along with the stripes. The color scheme works together great! I would love to enter the Kindle contest, as I have been wanting to get one for ages. My favorite romance novel has to be Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning. I stayed up until 4 a.m. to finish it, and I still crave more. That lady can write! Thanks for the amazing giveaway.

  13. So glad I follow Ilona Andrews’ tweets. I never knew this website existed. I love how easy the colors are on the eyes and it’s just a very relaxing website with the layout and the colors.
Pick my all time favorite, uh. I should say something by Ilona Andrews since she directed me here, but, there is one book I read over and over, Saving Grace by Julie Garwood.
    (no preference on the prize)

  14. I love the colors, especially the stripes.

I I would love to win both the the kindle prize and the print prize, but if I really have to choose I pick the Kindle prize.

As for What my all time favorite romance novel I really can’t just pick one. My favorite always depends on what book I’m in the mood for.

  15. This is my first visit – I followed a link from FB. But I really like the color scheme. Don’t know that I have only one favorite novel unless you count the whole Demonica series by Larissa Ione as one novel – but then there’s JR Wards series that could count as one novel and then there’s Caris Roanes series and Lora Leigh and Nalini Singh……oh well. But I am definately interested in the Kindle, please. Of course, if I can’t get that I would definately be thrilled with the book package. Thanks!

  16. Michelle Bledsoe

I like the new site. The color combo is nice and relaxing for reading all the wonderful reviews and interviews you give us.
I thank you for the chance to win amazing prizes. I have no preferences on which one I would like to win.
Also my all time favorite romance to read is Jude’s Law by Lori Foster.

  17. I have to say my favorite part of the new site is the logo. There’s something about it that makes me want to curl up in a hammock with a good book or three…I’m sure there’d be no deadlines there.

I have many favorites, but that is shouting the loudest is Julie Garwood’s Prince Charming. Favorite historical of all time!

ETA: I already own a Kindle (but OH the ebk selection!!!) so please enter me for the Print Prize Pack.

  18. Wow, that’s an amazing contest. I’d love to win either prize (the Kindle and all those lovely ebooks of course, but the print books sound good also). The blog looks great, although I have to admit, I usually read your posts in my Google reader, so I’m not sure what the old design was like. As for my favorite romance of all time, hmm, it’s virtually impossible to pick, but I would go with the Angelique series by Sergeanne Golon. It’s an oldie, but goodie and got me totally hooked on historical romance.

  19. well i like the drawing – i’ve been super into romantic visuals lately. they do NOT have to be cheesy while still representing romance. yours continues in this vein – who wouldn’t like to be under a full moon w/ their true love, but anyhow..

my all time favorite love story – ah i’ll go old school and go persuasion by the queen jane austen. i LOVE that story. true love revisited after all hope has passed and jane being jane. gawd i love her.
    teri@kontentfilms.com

  20. I love the site, it’s simple and easy to navigate.
Both packages look fabulous! but if I have to choose it would be the kindle one.

My favorite books are Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor Series by Lori Foster, read the first two cant wait for the third!!

  21. The pastel colors make everything POP! The site looks pretty and timeless. The graphics are neither contemporary nor historical so it identifies with every generation of books. I would like to be entered for the Print Prize as I just bought a kindle because my bookshelf is full. You ask too much when you ask for my favorite romance novel because out of the numerous books I’ve read, 194 of them are romance novels. But, for the sake of an answer, I will have to go with Heather Graham’s “The Dead Room” because it was the first romance novel I read and that one book started it all.

  22. I love the site, especially the header. My favorite romance books is the Sweet series by Maya Banks. Since I live in Sweden, I guess I am in for the Print Package!

  23. Just recently found your site so I don’t know the old layouts, but I do like the colors and graphics.
Wow 2 great prize packages to choose from, but I guess I need to pick 1 , so I guess the Kindle package.
My favorite romance novel would have to be Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon, the first romance series I read, which turned into my becoming a romance series addict! So many great series and authors so little time!

  24. Nikki Barrett

Love this site! I’m actually new to this blog but it looks amazing! I’d love to be entered into the Kindle contest. As for my favorite romance book….Oh man, really to pick one? Umm, well my favorite book is Nothing Lasts Forever by Sidney Sheldon. It’s not a straight up romance, but it has romantic elements in it, suspense…a mix of everything. I’ve read that book SO many times since a librarian rec’ed it to me in my teens.

  25. I’m a little embarrassed to admit this but this is my first time stopping by so I am unfamiliar with the old layout vs. the new one. BUT I really like the classy romantic feel of this site if that counts?! I heard about you from Ilona Andrew’s tweet. I would love to win the Kindle, but would be equally stoked with the book package! Wow what a generous giveaway. 🙂 Thanks for chance to win.

My all time favorite romance: The Windflower by Laura London (Sharon & Tom Curtis)

…It seems like some of my most favorite authors are husband and wife writing teams (which includes Ilona Andrews and Patricia Briggs)

  26. Debra McDonald

I love the new look.It is so easy to get around and I love the space.I can find blogs much easier. Please enter me on either of the packages. They are both great.I don’t have a kindle yet.All time favorite Romance Novel? That is a tough one but I would have to say To Tame a Highlander by Karen Moning,Obsession by Lori Herter,or maybe Jane Austin Pride and Predjudice.I love them all!!!

  27. I just became a new follower but i love your header picture. Its very pretty. I would love to be entered in for the print book prize pack. Even tho all those e-books are so tempting, I have a nook. So I will let others have a chance for it. Thanks so much for this awesome giveaway!

  28. What fab prizes, I would love to win the Kindle as haven’t got one : (

The colours and design on the new site are gorgeous and so easy to follow.

My favourite romance has got to be Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, I know it’s an oldie, but her writing cannot be beaten.

  29. The new layout is so cute 😀 But then I have liked all your awesome layouts. But this time with the truly original header, very nice.
    I would not change anything.

And I am of course entering for the Print one 😀 Prize 2

Fav romances, oh they always change but I must mention the one that made me hug my latest book. Seven nights to forever by Evangeline Collins

  30. Ooo it’s so pretty. I love the header and stripes, It reminds me of holidays at the seaside for some bizarre reason.

I’d like to enter for the Kindle package please 🙂

Ok my fav romance book has to be Pack Challenge by Shelly Laurenston, so funny, sexy and full of kick ass females.

  31. Your new look is lovely. Cool, fresh and efficient at the same time, ftw.

I would love to win the Kindle, please. 🙂

And my favourite romance of all time is The Tapestry of Love by Rosy Thornton.

  32. I don’t need to win anything, just wanted to comment on the nice new look! very easy to navigate, and classy as well. Awesome Prize Packages! If You do pick me, and for some reason want me to win 😆 I’d take the books, I already have a Kindle.

My favorite Romance Series of all time? Eve and Roarke of the In Death Series by J.D Robb.

  33. *still drooling* I found you through a link on Suzanne McLeod’s blog. Great design, guys! I love vintage colours and the header is beautiful, so as the blue letters for topics on the side panel. Will be happy to win anything. My favorite romance of all time so far is The Forbidden Rose by Joanne Bourne.
I’m reposting the link :))) spreading the goodness!

  34. I like the new layout! I’m entering for the Kindle package, unless I can enter for both. My all time favorite romance novel is Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews!!!

  35. I love your new blog design. It is quite sleek and pleasing to the eye. The colors are attractive and relaxing, allowing us to enjoy the blogs content without distraction. i also really like the layout and choice of character graphics which enable me to quickly and easily locate the different page subjects and links. It’s a very thought out and creative design.

This is such an awesome launch party giveaway. i would love to win either the e package or the print package.

I read and enjoy a wide variety of Romance so it is difficult to name one all time favorite. If I had to pick just one though, i would say CL Wilson’s Romantic Fantasy “Lord Of The Fading Lands” is my favorite. Having not read fantasy before, this series caught me by surprise and blew me away. CL Wilson has an amazing and magical Voice. Her Tairen Soul Series is now one of my all time favorites.

  36. I love the blog design – very inviting!
I’d like to enter e package giveaway

My favorite romance (so far): Twisted Creek by Jodi Thomas

  37. Michelle McMichael

The site looks great! I love the colour scheme, it’s very easy to read and I could easily spend a couple of hours on here without a headache. My favourite bit has got to be the header – it’s the expression on the girls face. Fiesty! 🙂

I hope the new site works better for you, thanks for the time & effort you all put in it’s most appreciated.

My favourite romance book of the moment has to be Sin Undone by Larissa Ione. I love the Demonica world and the scene where we meet War for the first time – makes me laugh everytime!

I would love either prize to be honest. I do have a kindle though (and I’m scared to admit how many of those books I already own – although there’s some new authors I have to look into :)) I would love to be entered for the print bundle. Thank you

  38. Jennifer Moody

I would love to win anything just something in my life to say hey I won this 🙁 You think entering in giveaways you have a chance on willing you get ur hopes up n you dont win. Espically with all these great new authors on it. So please pick me to win 🙂 thanks!

  39. I absolutely LOVE the colors and, as someone else mentioned, it is so nice on the eyes. (Also, I have an obsession with stripes. I wear stripes nearly every day to work and my co-workers are constantly teasing me about it!).

    I’m entering for the Kindle!

Favorite romance of all time? Oh, lord. Well, it’s not technically considered a Romance book, but I absolutely love the romance/relationship in Nancy Werlin’s Young Adult novel “Impossible.”

  40. I like the redesign, especially the colors.

Please enter me for the Print Package.

My all-time favorite romance novel is Outlander (and all its sequels) by Diana Gabaldon.

  41. The overall design is awesome (especially the color scheme).
As for favorite romance? Only one? Arrgh. I’ll go with Cindy Miles’ Highland Knight since I’m rereading it now.
I have to go with Print package, thank you!

  42. I love the new lay out! I like the stripes. Also, ILONA ANDREWS!!!!!!!! Need I say more? tehehehe…I would immensely love any/all giveaways! I don’t have a kindle, but they look fun, even though my love for the actual paperbound books will never die! “Double-cross my fingers…..and click submit”!!!!!!

  43. Congrats on the new design. I love your soft new colors. Easy on the eyes!

I’d love to be entered for the Kindle and what a great list of authors there!

  44. I couldn’t name a favorite I read in my spare time would love to be entered in both. But please enter me in kindle one. Love the new blog.

  45. I definitely like the serene feeling from the colors. And it’s not as busily designed as some others are. Nice to not feel overwhelmed upon entering the blog. I like it a lot.

I would love to win either package, thank you for the opportunity!

My all time favorite would have to be a small anthology called Parlor Games. When I first started my reading habit it was what lead me to want to continue reading romances (although mostly historical ones).

    dani3222001(at)yahoo(dot)com

  46. Nice colors…easy on the eyes. I would prefer the print version when I win 😀 It is so very hard to select and all time favorite romance. I would have to choose between Gone With the Wind and Whitney My Love. Both very sigh-worthy in my younger days.

  47. Congrats! Your revamped site is great!
Your books are the very first I read when I got my Kindle in the fall of 2009.
Unfortunately, the sub zero temps in the interior of Alaska was hard on my sweet
Kindle and she is running slow now.
Love your books, and just finished “Sabine” last night, and it was more than I can say…deeply moving and touching. Made me cry…and I love it! And I just started “Kisri…The beast” this morning….and I know its going to make me cry again…*S*
    Thank you for the contest!

    Darcy

  48. The layout is real easy to follow and l like the colors. Please enter me for the ebooks! Thank you so much!

  49. Okay I would be lying if I didn’t say I want the 1st prize pack, but the second one is good too. Either one would be fine with me ’cause I love books, but the 1st prize pack seems like the best one to me. I love the new designs on the blog they’re amazing 😀

  50. I like the color scheme, but I wish the graphics on top was much smaller, preferably 1/3 of the size it is now. I read on a (small) laptop, and it takes half of my screen.

I am entering for the Kindle package. My all-time favourite book? There are so many… I’d probably choose Mary Balogh “A precious jewel”.
