Tomorrow, The Book Pushers blog will be taking part in the SOPA and PIPA blackout. For those of you that haven’t heard of it, SOPA is an acronym for the Stop Online Piracy bill, and PIPA is the Protect Intellectual Property Act that the American Senate want to impose.
Whilst I had heard of the bill and knew that it had an overreaching mark, I didn’t know just how far it would overreach. I could try and explain it, but I would do a pretty poor job of it. For a great run down on just what SOPA and PIPA will entail, head on over to THIS BBC article.
