I’ve convinced my parents that the best give for me is $ for ebooks. I love it!! And so do they- it’s a very easy gift and it’s exactly what I want.
I was about to become a grandmother for the first time and hubby gave me a wooden rocking chair. It had been thru 9 grandchildren. It is just waiting for great grandchildren. I love this time of the year.
I’d have to say the best gift for Christmas is having our family together. My brother, sister and I live in different parts of the U.S. so it’s rare when we can all be together at the time. However I’m very thankful that my own family of 8 will be together this year 🙂

There was a stuff teddy bear from Macy’s which I really wanted for Christmas when I was little. Since I was the oldest, I didn’t bother to ask my parents for it because they will have an obligation to give a gift to all five of us and money was tight in our household during those times.
On Christmas Day, that Macy’s teddy bear showed in a wrapped box. It turned out my cousin bought it for me. I still have that teddy bear to this day.
My favorite things to give or receive is gift cards!! I love getting gc to bookstores to feed my addiction. I also like to give gc to people so they can pick out something they might have been putting off purchasing for themselves!! Thanks for the chance.
One of my best gift that I got was my nook, but I missed paperbacks so I ended up buying a bunch of those on top of it instead. To give, I like doing gift-cards and baked goods, giving them the freedom to get what they really really want.
My favorite gift to give is usually something I know the person really needs rather than some item that is frivilous or funny or unnecessary. I also like to receive things I really need.
