Tabitha Bell is the face of Chicago’s premiere matchmaking service. At least, she hopes it will be someday, once business really takes off. What she needs is more clients, so when she meets a sexy gamer in need of help, it’s the perfect opportunity.

His discomfort talking to women almost cost Drew Watson his job. He’d be happy holed up in his office, designing blockbuster video games, but his boss considers talking to investors a nonnegotiable requirement. Who better than a matchmaker to teach him how to be comfortable around the opposite sex? Trouble is, Drew wants to get more than comfortable with Tabitha, while she’s determined to keep their relationship all business.

Soon Tabitha learns that beneath the geek-chic hoodie lies six feet of sexy physique–and the more time she spends with Drew, the more she appreciates his brainy brand of charm. Will she succumb to his sweet-but-nerdy charm offensive or will it be game over before he can win her heart?
*Blurb from Goodreads*

I’ve really enjoyed Barth’s Aisle Bound series and was sad to see this would be the final book in the series. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know these characters, and I’m going to miss spending time with them.

Tabitha is the matchmaker of A Matchless Romance, but getting business off the ground has been a bigger struggle than she expected. When she runs –literally– into Drew, the chance for an additional client as her branching out into a field she never expected. But teaching Drew how to be more comfortable around women shouldn’t be that hard for the matchmaker.

Drew took a corporate programming job so that he could get his video game created. But working for a woman who doesn’t understand his side of the business is threatening his job. Getting Tabitha to help him communicate with the boss is the best idea to date, until Drew realizes that falling for Tabitha is something he can’t stop from happening.

Poor Drew was such an awkward hero, yet I loved him to pieces. He reminded me of so many guys I knew in college and from my hard-core gaming days that I couldn’t help but fall in love. He had the nerdy, awkward, yet somehow sexy thing down pat, and I couldn’t help but root for him from the very first moment he stepped onto the page. I loved the way he would try so hard, like when he researched wedding traditions, and then used them, even though they were not traditions in our culture. It was cute and funny and had me smiling at every turn.

The romance between Tabitha and Drew was cute, but at times had a one step forward, two steps back feel to it. Although Tabitha was extremely attracted to Drew, she held back so much because she had taken him on as a client. While I can see why she was so hesitant at first, even after Mia and Ivy, her bosses and best friends, told her they didn’t see anything wrong with it, Tabitha still held back so much with Drew. I would have liked to see her take a bigger chance, a little bit sooner.

While I was a little bummed to say goodbye to the cast of characters from this series, Barth did a cute job of wrapping it all up. We got to see everyone really settle down into their happily ever afters, and begin their lives together. While on one hand I thought the last chapter was a bit corny, I also loved it so much. Because it was a wonderful chance to wrap up the series in a pretty bow for the final sendoff.

All in all, I liked the final installment of the Aisle Bound series. It was quick and shorter than the other books in the series, but I liked the nerd hero and matchmaker heroine. They were a cute and interesting couple. I can’t wait to see what series Barth has in store next!
I give A Matchless Romance a B-
