Today, we’d like to welcome Chelsea Fine, a first timer here at Book Pushers. Chelsea’s newest series is a new adult contemporary romance. Since we love new adult here at Book Pushers, we couldn’t wait to find out more!

New Series Description

Finding Fate is a new adult contemporary series about finding love and falling into fate. Each book centers around two characters that have known each other for a while but haven’t yet realized how perfect they are for one another. In all three books, secondary characters play a big role in helping the protagonists discover one another and fall in love. But in the end, it comes down to the main characters confronting their fears and leaping headfirst into their fates.

How did the idea come about

The first book in the series, Best Kind of Broken, was inspired by the song “One More Night” by Maroon 5. I originally wanted to write an opposites-attract romantic comedy about two college kids who fall in love while working at a retirement community over the summer. What I ended up with was a story about two childhood best friends, torn apart by tragedy, who learn to heal and fall in love with one another while working, and living, at a cozy little inn in the middle of nowhere. I developed the storylines for the next two books based on characters in Best Kind of Broken. I really liked the idea of a handsome—and formerly wealthy—guy trying to keep up appearances in his small hometown so I structured Perfect Kind of Trouble around Daren and a stunning, yet mysterious, blast from his past named Kayla. My favorite character in the entire series is Jenna, from Best Kind of Broken. She’s smart, sassy, and covered in tattoos and I knew, the moment I wrote her, that I needed to give her a book of her own. So I whipped up Right Kind of Wrong and sent her and Jack, the devilishly hot guy who drives her crazy, on a cross-country road trip together, where they discover things they never knew about their families—and themselves.

Series plan

Best Kind of Broken_coverFinding Fate is a series of three novels, each featuring a different hero and heroine, but with overlapping characters and somewhat overlapping timelines.

Book #1: Best Kind of Broken featuring Levi (a college football quarterback and inn handyman) and Pixie (an aspiring artist with a large scar across her chest) and takes place at a cozy Arizona inn.

Book #2: Perfect Kind of Trouble featuring Daren (nemesis of Levi, the supply runner for Willow Inn, and an aspiring chef) and Kayla (a currently unemployed and homeless bombshell who’s only in town for a funeral) and takes place in the tiny Arizona town of Copper Springs.

Book #3: Right Kind of Wrong featuring Jack (a handsome bartender with a shady past and a lot of tattoos) and Jenna (Pixie’s best friend, a sassy bartender with a dying grandmother, and more tattoos than Jack) and takes place on a cross-country road trip from Arizona to Louisiana.

About Chelsea Fine:
Chelsea lives in Phoenix, Arizona, where she spends most of her time writing stories, painting murals, and avoiding housework at all costs. She’s ridiculously bad at doing dishes and claims to be allergic to laundry. Her obsessions include: superheroes, coffee, sleeping-in, and crazy socks. She lives with her husband and two children, who graciously tolerate her inability to resist teenage drama on TV and her complete
lack of skill in the kitchen.

Your book sounds like one I would enjoy reading. I like to read about long lost loves and fate bringing them together.
