Cover & Blurb Reveal – Spiral Path by Katharine Kimbriel

So back in February I discovered a new to me author whose first two installments in her Tales of Alfreda Golden-Tongue, Night Calls and Kindred Rites, I absolutely loved. I was extremely excited to discover she was working on the third installment Spiral Path due out on the 16th of this month. So as a result when she mentioned a cover reveal I didn’t think twice before accepting. Enjoy!

“The world is woven of secrets.”

Ritual magic mixes dangerously with wild magic. Yet Alfreda Sorensson’s talent has grown until she becomes a target for worldly and unworldly powers. Now, to save her soul, she must leave her pioneer home in the Michigan Territory to take refuge at an elite New York school, where her wild magic places her in direct conflict with the ritual taught to young Americans and Europeans.

Alfreda suspects that half the professors may not be human at Windward Academy. It’s a curious place, a last chance for students who can’t control their powers, and a place where everything is a test, in one way or another.

At first Alfreda thinks her greatest challenge will be mastering ritual. Then she learns that traitors have infiltrated the school–and the new nation. War looms between the United States and England, and Alfreda answers the call. Only after she spies her way into an enemy magician’s estate does she learn the true challenge of her own power–

Because when dark magic finds her, she’s utterly on her own.

I can’t wait to get my hands on this story.

  1. Thank you, Book Pushers! Hope everyone enjoys the new Alfreda book!

Just to get people in the spirit, if you want to join the adventure at the beginning, Night Calls is currently on sale for .99 at major ebook distributors, as well as at Book View Cafe. (But you don’t have to read the others to enjoy this one!)

    Trade paperback coming in December.

  2. Oh, Wow! I read the first two waaay back in the ’90s, when they first came out. I had totally given up hope that there would ever be more. So I am just thrilled to see this.
My ‘Buy This Book’ list has another entry.
    Thank you.
