If you’re wanting to read a YA series that features Vampires/Dhampirs and a strong cast of characters, I would firmly point you in the direction of the Vampire Academy series. Why? IMO, it’s one of the strongest YA vampire series out there with memorable characters and an engaging overall plot line.

I’ve yet to read this series, having read all the sookie stackhouse true blood novels, vampire diaries and the twilight saga, and cant wait to get my teeth into this group of books! (Scuze the pun!!)
