April 7, 2012 By E_booklover 8 Comments

TFOB

The rules are simple:
Giveaway starts Saturday morning and closes Sunday night. The winner will be announced that Monday.
All books are in print there will be no substitutions for an electronic version or a different book.
Since the books are autographed if something goes wrong during transient I am UNABLE to replace the prize.
Each giveaway will have some advice provided during one of the panels and a topic that must be answered in order to enter.

This week’s prize is a copy of Master of Shadows by Angela Knight and a packet of romance trading cards donated by author Shiloh Walker.

Comments:
World Building:
– Having fun, trying to do something different – Angela Knight

– Further away from the real world, easier for people to accept it – Gini Koch

– Understand the rules of your world and stick to them – Cynthia Garner

Sticking with our Fantasy Celebration theme, to enter leave a comment mentioning what fantasy world would you like to visit the most or what fantasy world would you avoid unless it was the only place left and who created that world. This can come from books, movies etc…

About E_booklover

E is addicted to books. She discovered at an early age that not only were they her transport to far off worlds, adventures, and exotic cultures, but that she ran into far fewer objects if she walked while reading then if she wasn't reading. She reads across several genres, such as: romance, western, mystery, SF/F and its derivatives. She isn't too picky except for good characterization, settings she can imagine, and a story that flows logically... umm so ok -- she wants a good story. Have any to recommend?

With chocolate on my mind I would pick Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.

I would have to say the Dark Hunter world (Sherrilyn Kenyon), I would just love to meet all the dark hunters!

Interesting choice, Maureen. I never would have thought of it. Of course, I’d probably eat something I shouldn’t have and disappear like one of the spoiled kids.

I would choose Kate Daniels’ world from the same named series by Ilona Andrews. There’s magic and sexy shape shifters.

I really love the world of Robin McKinley’s The Hero and the Crown and The Blue Sword. I love that even though the societies are patriarchal, there’s room for female heroes!

I would choose the world in Anya Bast’s Dark Magick series. I don’t think I would want to be stuck in her Doomsyear series.

I’d like to visit the Harry Potter world and meet Harry and his friends.

I would love to see the Dragon world from Anne Mccaffrey. I remember reading about the small dragons and wished I could have one.

I want to visit the land Kylie has made in Vengeance Born, just love her writing and characters!
