Review – All Wound Up by Jaci Burton

I’m such a huge fan of this series, and every time a new book comes out, I download it to my reader as fast as possible! This was no exception!

Tucker doesn’t have the best of luck with the ladies, but when an altercation with his ex girlfriend has Dr. Aubry, the daughter of his baseball team’s owner, checking him out, his luck changes. Aubry is just what Tucker wants and needs, and he’s ready to pursue her. Ending up in her care time and time again isn’t on his agenda, but he’ll take her anyway he can get her.

Aubry isn’t looking for someone to settle down with, but Tucker is amazing at wearing down her defenses. She starts to really fall for him when her father finds out about the relationship and threatens to break them apart. Aubry doesn’t want to be the reason Tucker loses his job, but she also isn’t willing to give up on love so easily.

I really enjoyed both Aubry and Tucker. Aubry was fun, smart, sassy, and dedicated to her career. She knew what she wanted, and she was willing to fight tooth and nail to get it. Her career means everything to her, and she isn’t going to let anything get in the way of that. I also loved that she was also dedicated to Tucker and their relationship. It made for a well rounded heroine that I could really get behind and root for.

Likewise, I adored Tucker. He was sweet and kind and super sexy! Burton does such an amazing job with writing sexy heroes that it’s hard for me to pick a favorite from her series. Tucker is no exception. I also loved getting the chance to spend a bit more time with the Cassidy family, and hope that we will see more and more of them in future book.

The romance between Tucker and Aubry was great too. I loved that although they were insanely attracted to each other, they also took their time. Tucker wanted to prove to Aubry that he was in it for more than just sex, and although it took them awhile to get deeper on an emotional level, they had just as much fun outside the bedroom as they did in it. I always love seeing the fun, dating stages played out in books, and Burton had a good balance of that here.

All in all, I am continuing to love the Play-By-Play series. The Cassidy family is so much fun and I can’t wait to see more of them in future books. Tucker and Aubry were a wonderful couple, and their romance was light and sexy. Another great read for the sports romance fans!
I give All Wound Up a B
