Review – The Opposite of Right by Christi Barth

Reviewer: MinnChica

I am a longtime fan of Barth, and when she reached out to me about her new rockstar book, I jumped at the chance to read it.

Kylie is in a major slump after making all the right decisions, and still having her life end up in shambles. Nothing is going her way, and she has no idea what to do about it. Making bad decisions for awhile seems like a great idea, especially since it starts with a steamy kiss with a sexy stranger.

Cam is used to women throwing themselves at him, but something about Kylie strikes a chord with him. He wants her more than anything, and convincing her to be a roadie for his band’s tour is his first step in breaking down all her walls. Add in the smokin’ hot sex and these two are in for the roadtrip of a lifetime!

I really enjoyed this book. Barth has such a fun writing style that just sucks me in and keeps me flipping pages as fast as I possibly can. My biggest complaint with this book is that it was over way too soon! 🙂 It was novella length, and the book flew by in a wink of the eye. I hope that we get to see more of Kylie and Cam’s relationship as the series progresses.

I loved the way Kylie was dedicated to making all the bad decisions for awhile. I thought it was such a great aspect to her character, and it made me love her all the more. I felt like this book really centered more on Kylie than Cam, and I hope that we get to see more of Cam in future books.

While I enjoyed the romance (aka: sexy times) between Cam and Kylie, I thought that their relationship could have developed a little more. I’m unsure if the rest of the series is going to continue to feature Cam and Kylie or other couples, but either way I hope we get to see more of their relationship progress as the series continues.

All in all, I really enjoyed this new book. I’m excited to see where Barth is going to go with this series and hope that we get to see more of Cam, Kylie, and the rest of Cam’s bandmates. 🙂
I give The Opposite of Right a B
