Poll & Giveaway: Skin Game by Ava Gray

Some may or may not know that Ava Gray is Ann Aguirre, author of the Romantic Science Fiction series:  Sirantha Jax and of the Urban Fantasy series: Corine Solomon.

Writing as Ava Gray, Skin Game is Ann’s first foray into paranormal romance and the first book in the Skin series.

Blurb taken from the Ava Gray website:

Skin Game

A beautiful fugitive—wanted dead or alive.
Kyra is a con woman and a particular kind of thief. She steals with a touch, but she only takes one thing: her target’s strongest skill. Which means she can be a fighter, an athlete, a musician, an artist—anything she wants… for a limited time. Heartbroken, she turns her gift toward avenging her father’s murder; with deadly patience, Kyra works her way into casino owner Gerard Serrano’s inner circle. After pulling off the ultimate con, she flees with his money and his pride.

A hit man who never misses the mark.
Reyes has nothing but his work. Pity for Kyra, he’s the best and mercy never sways him once he takes a job. He’s been hired to find out where Kyra hid the cash—and bring her back to face Serrano’s “justice.” Dead will do, if he can’t locate the loot. He’s never failed to complete a contract, but Kyra tempts him with her fierce heat and her outlaw heart. So Reyes has a hell of a choice: forsake his word or kill the woman he might love.

Doesn’t that sound badass? It sounds badass to us!

At The Book Pushers, we are going to be having a Bad Boy week – featuring heroes in books who can truly claim that title.

Skin Game rocked the socks off Has (pending review will be up soon), so we are going to have a giveaway. We are giving away a copy of Skin Game via The Book Depository to where ever they can ship too as soon as it’s available.

To be in for a chance to win, let us know in the comments below:

Who do you think is the ultimate bad-ass hero?

We have created a poll  featuring a selection of male characters that we think fit the term: Badass. We’ll leave the poll running until next Tuesday, 10th November and at the end we will reveal who is the winner of the poll – along with the winner of the giveaway.

  1. Great idea with the poll. I got my copy of Skin Game an hour ago and I’m still stroking the cover. So no need to include me in the contest. Will start reading now!
    Have a great week ladies!

  2. Of the ones listed above, I think Deamon SaDiablo is the ultimate bad ass! 🙂
He just has that market cornered all by himself almost.

Please to be entered in the draw.
Thank you Book Pushers! *blows kisses*

  3. I agree with Varg. Daemon is just a complete bad ass. Skin Game looks very interesting. Great giveaway!

  5. I’d love to be a part of your giveaway please. Skin Game had me at the first sentence! lol Have to read more regardless…
    Thanks for a wonderful opportunity!

When I seen Deamon SaDiablo’s name, all others just faded because he’s the ultimate bad-ass. The stuff that, that man can do (and I still love him to this day since I first read the books.) I’m happy he’s ahead!

  7. Oh gosh, it’s a toss up between Deamon SaDiablo and Bastien Toussaint – both are pretty bad-A in my book!!! But I love them all! This was a great poll. Thanks!!

  8. Wow, you picked all good ones!! I’ll go with Charles, but I would settle for any one of them. Thanks, Sue

  9. Bastien got my vote, he was just so deliciously bad. I can’t believe I haven’t read an Anne Bishop story yet, from the comments about Daemon I am definitely missing out.

  10. We have forgotten a few heroes- especially JR Ward- but there will be a detailed blog post later this on that! 😀
But Zsadist and Judd from the Psy/Changeling series is another!

  11. It was hard to choose, but I chose Charles. Skin Game sounds like a really great story, I’m really looking forward to reading it (and stroking the cover).

  12. In the interest of honest disclosure – I have to say I haven’t read some of those books/series – but I’ve heard of them and… I had to throw my vote in for Daemon because… well hello. 😀
