Re-Design Launch Party & Giveaway!

As many of you know, we have gone through multiple layouts here at The Book Pushers. Not long ago we decided to undergo another change and worked tirelessly at coming up with logos, designs, color schemes and all those fun things that come with a re-design.

As you can see, we are SO incredibly happy with the final product. We think the new design gives the blog a classy and fantastical feel.

We would like to give a shout out to super extraordinaire book illustrator Joanne Renaud, the incredible designer of our new header and logo. Joanne, you did an amazing job and we are so happy with the final product.

We’d also like to give huge thanks to our very own Lou. She has re-designed the site, is working on our new Twitter page, and created new avatars based on the new logo. Lou, without you we would be stuck.

So today we say goodbye to the trusty old beige theme and welcome in the new Book Pushers!

To celebrate the launch of the new redesign, us Book Pushers have pooled together and are giving away the biggest prize to date! (We are sorry, but due to Geographical and Tax Restrictions – only open to US and the UK)

  1. *looks around* Oh. Wow! Absolutely adore the header, so romance-y 😀 I even love the font you guys chose and that scroll/rose thingy! The colors aren’t my favorite but I don’t care, the complete package just fits to a tee!

I’ll go for the print package. A ginormous giveaway guys!! Thank you!!

PS: Apparently can’t use the exclamation mark enough in this comment LOL

  2. PS; I guess I was so distracted I forgot to answer the question, which is a mean one cause I can only name one!! One I love till this day Jennifer Donnelly – The Tea Rose. That is one of my all time favorite romances 🙂

  3. Holy Crap, girls! That’s an awesome giveaway and an awesome new layout! You’re rockin it 😀
Ok, so fave romance of all time? Gah, I can’t choose. One of my go to romance for comfort and re-readability is Angel by Johanna Lindsey. Love her.

Layout looks awesome. I love the color scheme. Great job Lou!!

    brk.nlssn@gmail.com

  4. I really like the new layout and think it’s very eye appealing!

I would like to enter for the Print Package.

Favorite romance? The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons. Epic love story!

  5. I love the blue and pink color scheme. I also adore the illustration in the header. How awesome to have unique artwork!

I would love to win all of those ebooks on the Kindle! What a great collection of authors! Thanks for the giveaway!

As for my favorite romance of all time? Wow that’s a toughy. One of my all time favorite romances is Relentless by Lauren Dane.

  6. Wow, great site! I’d love to be entered for the kindle prize. My favorite romance keeps changing but I keep regrading KA Mitchell collision Course so I’ll vote for that.

  7. tough questions…the whole look to the blog looks easy to navigate..my favorite all time book is …too many to count…romantic suspence is Unlawful Contact – Pamela Clare
paranormal Dark Lover – JR Ward – Historical Sweet Release Pamela Clare Cowboys Coulters Woman Maya Banks -so many many more…

i would love to win the kindle & go for the kindle package…but hey the print package is just as wonderful never was good a making decisions

  8. Your new web-site looks really great. and easy to use. I love the colors and the pixs that were used. I hope to visit this site a lot here for a lot of different things and look forward to whatever new things you add to it.

  9. Wow! Just checked you all out after some huge fan love on Twitter. Blog looks great , I’m adding you to my Google Reader list.
I’m a Canuck so no contest for me, but best site looks beautiful!
    Best Wishes!
Almost forgot my favourite romance of all time is probably Chocolat by Joanne Harris. C’mon food and hot gypsy lovin’ – how could you go wrong with that?

  10. I love the softness of it, it’s not too harsh and it suits the vibe of the site perfectly!

Now favorite romance, that’s HARD! Paranormal – BDB series by JR Ward, Historical – Highlander seires by KMM, Contemporary – All of Jennifer Cruises stuff 🙂

Thanks for the awesome giveaway! Good Luck everyone!

  11. Very nice website. Easy to read, soothing colors. I like it! I would like to enter the Kindle contest. My favorite romance right now (subject to change without notice) is probably Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews. I just LOVE Curran!!

  12. What a fantastic giveaway!! I’d be happy to win either prize! I think what I love best about the new design is that the colors, prints, and header give a strong feeling of whimsy and have a dream-like quality. There are so many great romance novels out there, but I think still my all time favorite romance novel is Persuasion by Jane Austen.

  13. What an amazing contest. What I really like about the re-design is how clean and fresh the site its. Very easy to get around.
My all time favorite is a paranormal romance: Larissa Ione’s PLEASURE UNBOUND because it introduced me to the sexy demons and my book boyfriend Wraith :).
I’d like to enter for the Kindle prize package. So many books I’d love to read.
    Thank you.

  14. I like the website because it’s really easy to navigate. I’m a paranormal romance reader and while I read and love several different series the book that sticks with me the most is Jeaniene Frost’s First Drop of Crimson. A close second would be J.R. Ward’s Lover Mine simply because there was so much buildup throughout the series before the hero and heroine finally got together. They are both such great book. I would gladly take the Kindle package.

    Thanks for the opportunity.

  15. Awesome giveaways! I would looove a kindle and that is an impressive list of authors listed. Count me in! =D

  16. Wow, love the design, espeacially the header and what a great prize pack! I’d definetly go for the Kindle, so far any e-books I have I have to read them on the PC, it’d be nice to have a kindle to carry them around on instead! As for my favourite romance, pretty much any of the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, I love the interactions between her romantic protagonists, though Fantasy Lover will always hold an extra speacial place in my heart cause it was the first of her series that I picked up and read!

  17. Don’t know if she counts as a romance author, exactly, but out of the authors you’re giving away my favorite is Ilona Andrews! And I would like to sign up for the Kindle give-a-way, please.

  18. What an awesome giveaway! I really like the illustration in your banner, except the girl looks sort of annoyed that the man is touching her. Maybe it would be better if she had more of a smile or something. I would love to win the kindle prize! My all time favorite romance is Dark Lover by J.R. Ward. Wrath is at the top of my book boyfriend list.

  19. Loving the new design and that header is amazing! Wow I have to pick one favourite romance hmm if I really could only pick one I might have to say Crazy for you by Jennifer Crusie

  20. Wooow! Love the colors and the illustration! Congrats on the re-design, girls, it’s LOVELY!

I’m entering for the Kindle, please! My all time favorite romance is The Windflower by Tom & Sharon Curtis.

  21. I would Love either prize!
personally I am not a big fan of the stripes, but I love the header!
I don’t read all that much romance, but I think My favorite would be Pride and Predjudice

  22. I love the colors of the site and the logo is great. I would like a more liquid site layout personally, because I make fonts very large just to get through the text. And the reply box needs just a tad padding on the left side.

As for favorite books, Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews would be right up there. I would want to play with more e-books, so I’ll pick that.

  23. Love the color scheme and the artwork!! Its so soothing and it doesn’t hurt my eyes to read on the page!! Oh jeez, I have to pick a fave?!

Uhhh if I had to choose, it would be…. are you sure I can only pick one?! This is hard…

Dark Lover by JR Ward 🙂

  24. Holy moly! Great work, you Book Pushers 🙂 Your new look is very classy, fun, and easy on the eye! I also like the tabs at the top, making it easy to go to section of your site.

I’d love to enter for the Kindle package.

And favorite of ALL TIME romance? I’m not sure it’s possible to choose just one! At this moment, let’s go with Lisa Kleypas’s To Sir Phillip With Love!

  25. Irene Jackson

The new layout is lovely and clear , the colours are perfect not too bright to distract.
My favourite romance of all time is These Old Shades by Georgette Heyer. I re-read her books every decade or so! My other favourites are all of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books . bit of a contrast there but i have wide ranging tastes.
i’d like the print books pack best if I’m lucky.
    Awesome giveaway,thank you .

  26. The blog looks fantastic.I love the header.
Since the majority of my books are paranormal romance I’d say the BDB books are my favorite.
Please enter me for the print book prize pack.

  27. I would like the Kindle, and my all time favorite romance novel is by Georgette Heyer, Cotillian. I know, I’m really reaching back, but I just loved the two flawed characters realizing that perfect and perfect-for-me are two different things.

I like the site, but the “subscribe to rss” button is coming up in a really odd spot for me. I am viewing on Firefox 3.something. It seems like it wants to be part of the row of buttons including the “about” button, but it’s below that and off to the side, but not in line with the right sidebar. It’s just . . . a bit off kilter.

(I am currently wrestling with my own new website, having moved from blogger, so I am by no means complaining or mocking you. Monday I managed to delete my login widget and was locked out of my own site for 6 hours. You couldn’t do worse than that!)

  28. Great new design, it a very nice layout, the colors make it easy to read on the eyes, and love the side bar and tabs.
Great contest please enter me and to answer your question…. There are so many amazing authors and books out there today but I think that most of them pull or were inspired by the classics. My favorite would have to be Jane Austin Pride and Prejudice.

  29. I love the color scheme and the pretty scrolls in the corners. Hmm I would say my favorite romance would be Rising Tides by Nora Roberts. I would love either prize.

  30. OMG first of all…I’ve entered many contests but this is one of the best I’ve seen!!!

I’m here thanks to the great Ilona Andrews who put the link in her twitter.

I like the page…I’m from the phone and this page is working just perfect, Easy to navigate, simple AND cute.

I LOVE jR Ward Books and Jeanine Frost and Ilona Andrews and Nora Roberts.

:oD I will be happy with whatever gift I can win…ah…fingers cross!!!

  31. Danielle West

I like the ease of use of the new site.
I love ebooks-so that prize appeals to me a LOT, but the print list prize is also drool-worthy!
And I really could not possibly pick a favorite romance! I have favorite authors for different subgenres, both series and stand alones… But my first ‘real’ romance (not YA) was PC Cast’s Divine series and then I went right on to Cole’s IAD series and I have been hooked ever since, on adult romances and ebooks.

  32. Great contest. I love the new design! The blog has improved greatly at navigating around.

Favorite Romance (at least today): Ain’t She Sweet by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

Put me in for the Kindle drawing!

  33. Betsy Hillendahl

Wow that is such an amazing giveaway…I would love to win any of those things…what a great great giveaway…I love it!!!

  34. I would love a chance at the Kindle prize pack. Thanks so much for the contest!

I find the font used for the drop-down menu header items is a bit hard to read, and some of the letters seem to have little tabs sticking up off of them, which I don’t care for. I’d like the main header image to be a link to take me back to the home page when I click on it, as I do that much more instinctively than clicking the HOME button. Overall, the site looks nice.

As for favorite romance, right now it would have to be MAGIC SLAYS by Ilona Andrews.

  35. Awesome contest. Enter me for the Kindle please.

I do not like the couple at the top of the website. Romances are supposed to be hot and this couple seems uncomfortable and too cartoon like. Give me a hot torso rippling with muscles. I do like the blue and white stripes. I have never seen anything like it. Very soothing on my eyes.

My favorite romance is Lisa Kleypas Tempt me at Twilight. Harry is such a bad boy. And Dodger makes me laugh out loud.

  36. The new site looks great. I always love a redesign, makes everything seem new and fresh. Navigation is great and the colors are really calming and soothing. And that’s quite a prize pack there. All I can say is WOW. All time favorite Romance is Only Hers by Franci Ray. I read it at least once a year!

  37. I really like the website. I guess my favorite is Carnal Innocence by Nora Roberts, because it is what got me started reading romance, and then onto Paranormal romance:)

  38. Love the new website. The colors are great and the whole site oozes romance.

Both prize packs are AWESOME. Either would be a pleasant surprise.

There will always be a soft spot in my heart for The Flame and the Flower because it’s the first romance I ever read – but for sheer re-readability I’ll have to go with Diana Gabaldon’s series, especially Outlander.

  39. Betsy Hillendahl

I forgot to post earlier…I would love to enter the contest and I would be happy with anything I win…Ilona Andrew prob the most, I would totally love to win the Kindle, my bookshelf is out of room…My all time favorites would have to be the Dark Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon or Richelle Mead…saying again this contest is awesome

  40. I love the characters, but I think that the woman’s face expression should change. She looks, uh, kind of pissed. 🙂

I’d be interested in either prize, and my favorite romance novel is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.

  41. I like the new site. It’s very tranquil and the colors are inviting. I would like to be entered for the Kindle. My favorite romance is probably “This Is All I Ask” by Lynn Kurland.

  42. Holy cow! I want to win! You weren’t kidding about the awesomeness! You guys are great!

  43. wow love the colors for you blog scheme very easy on the eyes and the writing is still very legible which is great. Fantastic prizes and I’d love to win either of them.
My favorite romance books is Warrior Woman by Johanna Lindsey since it was the first scifi romance I read way way way back when. And the first one that the scifi part of it didn’t make my head hurt. I don’t care to know who things work just that they do lol.

  44. I didn’t say my favorite novel! I have soo many I can’t list them all! I really like “the bride of the machugh” by jan cox speas.
And I’ll take whatever you want to give me! 😉

  45. I love the color scheme that’s been chosen (the blue is so soothing!), but I would’ve chosen a lighter font on the links (something not so heavy/bolded). I also like that everything’s been organized so nicely–I had no trouble navigating and the boxes on the right column are much appreciated.

I’d like either prize, really. xD My all-time favorite romance novel…is impossible to choose! I’ll just go with Julie Garwood’s The Wedding, since it’s a huge comfort read for me. Thanks so much!

  46. Yay this is a lot of books, i like the ease of your set up and the colors are nice
i am totally entering this contest for the Print Package! i doubt i will win but it is fun to try
and i would really like anything from Ilona Andrews especially Magic slays!!!
