Re-Design Launch Party & Giveaway!

As many of you know, we have gone through multiple layouts here at The Book Pushers. Not long ago we decided to undergo another change and worked tirelessly at coming up with logos, designs, color schemes and all those fun things that come with a re-design.

As you can see, we are SO incredibly happy with the final product. We think the new design gives the blog a classy and fantastical feel.

We would like to give a shout out to super extraordinaire book illustrator Joanne Renaud, the incredible designer of our new header and logo. Joanne, you did an amazing job and we are so happy with the final product.

We’d also like to give huge thanks to our very own Lou. She has re-designed the site, is working on our new Twitter page, and created new avatars based on the new logo. Lou, without you we would be stuck.

So today we say goodbye to the trusty old beige theme and welcome in the new Book Pushers!

To celebrate the launch of the new redesign, us Book Pushers have pooled together and are giving away the biggest prize to date! (We are sorry, but due to Geographical and Tax Restrictions – only open to US and the UK)

  1. Oooh – I love the colours of the site . . .very restful and make the comment section pop out and easy to read . . Feels soothing too – all the side bits don’t seem to be fighting for space and shouting ‘look here, look here’ which can be distracting.

Would love to enter for the Kindle package . . .would love to enter for either package . . my fave all time book, for comfort reading, great characters and a great plot with lots of heat would be Linda Howard’s Diamond Bay . . . an oldie but very goodie ♥

  2. Great new design! I love the colors. I would love to be entered for both, but if I have to choose I would choose the Kindle. Also, my all time favorite Romance Novel would be all of them. NO, i’m kidding. I know Ilona Andrews is considered Urban Fantasy, but I think her Magic Bleeds has some romance in there, so I think that should be considered as my all time favorite romance novel/urban fantasy.

  3. I love the new look. Sleek without being cold. Bravissima! Would love to enter for the Kindle package. So many great authors who I’ve been meaning to read.

My favorite book changes so often. The last one I read that I adored was Dragon Bound. So perfect.

  4. It’s in my fave colors- pink n green. I love the one of a kind header. So pretty. My all time fave romance is GABAldons outlander.

    Awesome prizes thanks!

  5. I love it around the new here! All looks so nice and lovely and very easy to get around. Would love to enter the Kindle package.

My favourite book is the last one I read….and the next one I read becomes my favourite…because I love reading, and all books become my favs! So the last one was Nicola Marsh’s Girl in a Vintage Dress, next is Christina Hollis The French Aristocrat’s Baby!

  6. The site has wonderful, soft, feminine color tones. Very relaxing.

I would love the Kindle package.

There are so many “favorites” but I would have to say CL Wilson’s Lord of the Fading Lands is my all time favorite.

  7. Theresa Newbury

I LOVE the new layout!! It is sweet and sleek, appears to be easy to use, and the beautiful full moon and stars…marvelous!! Although the printed books are intriguing, I prefer the kindle package. My ALL time favorite romance is Ashes In The Wind by Kathleen E. Woodwiss.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  8. Love the new color.
I would like to be entered for the Kindle.
My favorite romance novel is Skye O’Malley by Bertrice Small.

  9. I really like how colourful it is in a pastel way! 🙂 The light blue and rose colours are harmonious yet youthful and fresh, like it a lot 😀 And what a mindblowing contest!! woohoo! Thank you so much!

Please enter me for both packages 😀

My favourite romance? So many.. the ultimate, alltime favourite is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. The newest steamy romance is Carnal Secrets by Nadia Lee, wonderful! And my desert island romance would be Outlander by Diana Gabaldon 🙂

Thank you again for celebrating in such a fantastic way and congrats on your new look! 🙂

  10. Gorgeous design. I love how the colors and sidebars don’t take away from the actual blog content, my eyes aren’t constantly distracted and wanting to dart from side to side. Beautiful and like another commenter mentioned, it’s peaceful. My all time favorite romance novel…oh that’s a hard one. I love Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, amazing classic. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve reread it. But if a trilogy of romance novels counts than I’m going to go with Gallaghers of Ardmore by Nora Roberts. I love reading those books. My favorite though is the first one, Jewels of the Sun.

    Print Package, please. :]

  11. I love the look of the site it’s cool clean and very easy to read.

I would like to be entered for the Kindle package please. The print books package looks great but I don’t think I have enough space for many more books and I have pre-orders and random buys to shoehorn in somewhere!

Favourite romance? That’s hard but I think it will have to be Ransom by Julie Garwood – one of my comfort reads

  12. Its so beautiful!! So calming on the eyes after all the work today! Well done to everyone!

I’d like to be entered in for both, if its just one the Kindle then – thanks so much!

(Please Note: I’m in the UK, just in Ireland working so it’ll be shipped to the UK)

    Eithne

  13. Love the new layout!! And the choice of color is wonderfully easy on my eyes. 🙂
As for what package I’m entering for: I’m an old-fashioned demon, so I’m going for the printed paper package. 😉

Favourite romance of all times, huh? That’s a tough one. It’s hard for me to choose between Diana Gabaldon’s “Outlander” and Jacqueline Carey’s “Kushiel’s Avatar”, so I’ll go with both of them. 😀 They’re my 2 favourite romances of all time.

  14. Sleek, soft, professional, and light — very appealing to the eye (and it seems to be more user-friendly).

Please enter me for the kindle package — sounds almost too good to be true!

My favorite romance of all-time is The Windflower by Laura London (yes, I know that dates me). Currently, I am more into scifi/fantasy/urban fantasy, and the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews wins hands down.

  15. I will be honest, this is my first time here, but I love the colors on the blog. My fave color is blue and pink and you have both. lol I also like the romantic pic at top that has a book also on it. Great job! I will be adding this blog to my google reader.

  16. Tabatha Bishopp

The new layout is very soft and I love the romantic feel of it. It would be great to be entered into the giveaway for the Kindle. As for my favorite romance novel, well that is pretty hard to choose! I’ll have to go with Improper English by Katie MacAlister. The book cracks me up no matter how many times I read it, and it is a very sweet story. :o)

  17. The new design looks great. The header, which looks awesome, and the colors totally blend together.

I’d love to enter for both contest, but since I’m from Brazil, I’ll be entering for the second one only.

My favorite romance of all time is Pride and Prejudice. So far, none other has been able to take its place in my heart.

  18. I’d love to be entered for the Kindle package!
Love the new look – especially the mix of blues and pinks, and the artwork is beautiful!
Favorite romance would be the Mary Janice Davidson Betsy series. I’m always up for a fun paranormal romp!
    Thank you!

  19. I like the re-design. It looks very fresh, bright and organized. There is no clutter and navigating through the site is a breeze. Keep up the good work.

My all-time favourite romance is Ashes in the Wind by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss.

I am entering for the Print Package =)

  20. Entering for Kindle – I like the new blog – it gives a more updated impression of what you are all about. Awesomeness! Thanks for the excellent contest opportunity.

  21. I like the design. It doesn’t hit you like a ton of bricks like some do nowdays. Very easy on the eyes, and you can tell where you want to go, now click on everything wondering where the heck everything is. Thanks for the nice website.
Favorite all time book so far right now…..I guess that would be What a Dragon Should Know by GA Aiken.
I would love to be entered for the Kindle package.

  22. I like the new design. It’s easy to read and I like the colors!

I’d love to be entered for the Kindle package.

My all-time favorite romance novel is an oldie, but goodie – Georgette Heyer’s The Talisman Ring.

  23. I love the aesthetic of the new layout, the muted colors are easy on the eyes and the site is easier to navigate.
I’d love to win the kindle.

  24. What an awesome giveaway! I love the new colors, very easy on the eyes.:) My favorite Romance novel is difficult to pin down to just one, but I would have to say Lord Of the Fading Lands by C.L. Wilson.
I would love a Kindle pkg! Good luck to everyone!

  25. I want that print package, lol.

Also, am I the only one who thinks that header SCREAMS Cat and Bones? Anyone?

Love the new site, guys, it looks AMAZING.

  26. I really like the new colors, very soothing.

I am interested in the kindle package and my favorite romance book would have to be MacKenzie’s Mountain by Linda Howard. Definitely one of my favorites.

  27. Entering for Kindle – 1st time here I really like it the colours are great! Favourite of all time that’s hard! it is a toss-up between At Graves End, Magic Strikes and Queen of the shadows if I had to pick one I guess it would be At Graves End, I did it, I picked one I feel bad hehe

  28. I love the new logo and the colors on the website. I agree that it looks very classy. I would love to win either package though the Kindle is my first choice. My favorite all time romance is Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie.

  29. I love the coloring and the header. Definitely an awesome all-around design, and I can’t wait to see the little icons that go along with it!

I’d enter for the Kindle package – which would be heavenly. O.O My favorite romance novel of all time? Whitney, My Love by Judith McNaught…but a special secondary for Gentle Rogue by Johanna Lindsay, which started me on romance and was pretty darn FINE.

  30. LOVE the new look! It’s cleanr and easy to navigate, not cluttered at all.

My favorite romance novel is probably Outlander; it’s my go-to comfort read. I’d love to win the kindle and all those fabulous ebooks!!!

  31. I LOVE the streamlined layout, the colors, and OMG at the header! Love it all 😀

I’m an ebook gal myself, so I’m entering for the kindle 😉

My all time favorite romance. You’re joking. Just one? I have to pick?!

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…….. Silver Lining by Maggie Osborne. Literary comfort food. It’s one of those that just doesn’t seem like there can POSSIBLY be a happy ending, but there is, and it’s one of the best ones ever IMHO.

  32. Love the blue stripes. The duel blue makes it easier on the eyes, comforting to read.
Navigating the site is easy, as is commenting.

I would love the Kindle. Haven’t had a chance to explore a lot of romance novels. Fav. would be Moira Rogers Crux. She brings steam to the paranormal.

Thanks for the absolutely fantastic contest. (Hugs)Indigo

  33. I’ve never been here before, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a very girly theme. Anything beats beige, but this is really nice and fun! I’d love to win either prize. I can’t say that I have a favorite book but I prefer reading romance books involving vampires.

  34. What I love most about the blog’s new look is that it’s whimsical and fairytale-like and makes me think of rainbows and butterflies. Rawr.

I’m entering for the Kindle prize package.

My all-time favorite book is Loving Scarlett by Lola Newmar. Words can’t describe the WTFery of the concept and actual execution of the Longhorn Shifters meme. They’ve each got three *horns* to fit your womanly holes. Too bad only one isn’t sharp as a pick-axe and could kill you in a gloriously bloody-*loved* mess. Nor even that the sight of red makes them horny as hell so be very careful when you have your periodzzzzz. NOR EVEN that she has SEVEN MENZ *loving* her each night, day and in between! LOVE IT. (Blame Has, she totally got me hooked.)

  35. Beautiful site! Please enter me for the Kindle. Favorite romance novel? Hard to say…I’ve read so many. However, my favorite Historical Romance author would have to be Catherine Coulter. Anytime she puts out a new novel, I just can’t put it down.

  36. Can’t enter the comp cos I’m in Oz but just found your site (via Twitter) and wanted to say I LOVE the design. VERY classy indeed. Good luck to all who’ve entered this awesome contest!

  37. I absolutely love pastel colors and this is just perfect!! It feels ‘happy’ , I can’t find a good word for it, but just coming in and the cheeriness of the colors and desgins is great! ITs hard to pick a favorite book when I have so many! Many times its the book I’m reading now! I had fun and loved reading Mari Fee’s Samhain Steampunk romance, BLUEBEARD’S MACHINE.

  38. I’m eligible for the book depository prize. The new site looks great! My favorite romance: for general love story…the Twilight series; for more adult love story: Decadent by Shayla Black.

  39. I’ve never been to the site before, but I like what I see. The colors are gorgeous and very complimentary. The whole site is very pleasing to the eye.

I would love to be entered for the Kindle prize even though I have Nook Color that is the best thing ever.

  40. Raonaid Luckwell

Color scheme is light and easy on the eyes. You really used great colors. I think the picture used is so cute!

I like the print package since I already have a kindle 3 and I know my luck would not be in that one (even though I have friends that want me to win them one)

Favorite novel? You mean I have to pick many of of the ones I love? THat’s DIFFICULT!

    Raonaid @ gmail dot com

  41. This contest/blog is soooo exciting! I would love to win the kindle because I have daughter who is wanting one to use for her school reading, since they have to read over 500 book in one year, and It would be great to be able to download them so she don’t have to tote more books with her in her pack. I would love to have the “extra” package books to read! 🙂

BIG THANKS to all the authors who are helping out with this!

    Vanetta@ymail.com

  42. I love, love, love the new look. The logo is fantastic. I would love to be entered for the Kindle package!

My favorite romance book is Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase. I own several paper copies and an e-copy.

  43. I really like the logo! The hand drawn effect is beautiful! I would like to be entered into kindle contest (or both!). My favorite romance is Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie.

  44. This is my first visit to your site and I have to say it is beautiful. I really like the colors and the serene feel.

Please enter me for the Kindle giveaway ‘cuz I could really use a good e-reader.

As for my favorite romance book – talk about hard to choose! There are so many great authors and books out there. But I think I would have to go with JR Ward’s book Lover Revealed. I have worn out 1 copy and my second copy is getting pretty battered looking.

  45. I love how clean the new site looks, so easy to read and find stuff. Good job! I’d like to be entered for the Kindle and the Print Package. If it is necessary to choose just one, then I’d go for the Kindle. It’s really hard to pick my all time favorite Romance Novel, there are so many awesome ones. I guess that today I’ll go with “Do Over” by Mari Carr. A really special book.

  46. THe colors are great – very easy on the eyes!
    Love the site!

For my favorite romance book – so many to choose from. But in the last year my go-to favorite is Table for THree by Lainey Reese. Can’t wait for more from her!

  47. I like the look of the website. It is my fist time here and I’m here because Jaci Burton told us about your website today; I love contests and I love a lot of the authors whose names you mentioned above.

  48. I love the new blog look and the soft colors. Favorite romance novel is The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks but I also LOVE Kendra Leigh Castle’s werewolf trilogy. I’m anxiously awaiting her newest release! I’m hoping to be entered in for the Kindle drawing please!
