If you love series books as much as we do, you’ll know that there are tons of them out there, and we don’t always find out about them right when they come out. So we are trying to help you find some new series reads. Each month we will feature a new up and coming series that we think you should know about!

Today we are lucky to have a fairly new-to-me author who writes some of the most intense romantic suspense books I’ve ever read: Kaylea Cross. If you have not picked up one of her books yet, YOU MUST! When Mandi from Smexybooks told me that Kaylea was starting a new series with Carina Press called the Bagram Special Ops, I knew I had to feature her here so all of you can get as addicted as I am!
New Series Description:
It’s a military romantic suspense series featuring Special Ops heroes and military heroines stationed out of Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan.
How did the idea come about:
I’ve written a romantic suspense series featuring Special Ops and Special Forces in the war on terror, but with this latest series I wanted to highlight women in the military also.
Series plan:
The plan is for a trilogy. All the characters are introduced in the first book along with the main romance, and each subsequent book will focus on a specific couple.
Book one is Deadly Descent, featuring an Air Force Pararescueman (PJ) and a female medevac Black Hawk pilot. It comes out September 5th from Carina Press.
Book two is Crash and Burn, and is in progress, featuring an Air Force Combat Controller (CCT) and a female Spectre gunship pilot.
Book three doesn’t have a working title yet, but will feature another Air Force PJ and a female Air Force Security Specialst.
Additional Information:
I try to research my characters’ roles carefully for each book, and I’ve interviewed Spec Ops personnel to help me put a special level of detail into the stories. I hope you’ll learn something new and exciting about what the men and women fighting the war on terror are doing out there.
