Some of you have probably heard how stressful things get for an author when they are getting ready for a new release. Shiloh Walker’s latest book STOLEN is due out… and, well. She didn’t handle the stress well this time. She went on a crime spree*…she hit fellow authors Thea Harrison, Vivian Arend, Larissa Ione, Carolyn Crane and Devon Monk. She held them up and swiped secrets and goodies. She keeps the secrets, but you get the goodies. Well, maybe a few secrets will slip out.
*This is all very tongue in cheek. Shiloh didn’t really snap. Well. Maybe she did. But no theft, larceny or other illegal activities were involved. No authors were harmed. Even though she’s still trying to figure out how to steal a couple of characters.
So…I’m off of my crime spree, but I have to hide the goods. If you want to keep up with me on my adventure, visit my site.
Now. About those goodies…what am I going to do with them?
I’m going to give them away. Anybody interested in a signed copy of LORD’S FALL by Thea Harrison? That’s what I swiped from her house. Fortunately, Dragos wasn’t there at the time. He was off attending other matters.
Which left me free to sneak in and swipe stuff…and yes, Thea came in at the last minute. While she was trying to convince me that a life of crime wasn’t the answer, I let her set me down and ‘talk’ to me. Hey, it’s a good way to get information, right?
Q: If your characters pulled a major heist, where would they go to hide?
A: Well, Pia tried to run off to South Carolina, and beyond. That didn’t work out so well for her.
Q: Name one of your characters you wouldn’t steal from…ever.
A: Dragos. Well, duh. (That’s why I broke into Thea’s house…not Dragos’.)
Q: If one of your characters could successfully heist something like the Hope Diamond…would they try?
A: Khalil, the Djinn, might, if it took his fancy. But he’s not very interested in diamonds. (Cool dude! Um…I’m kinda hoping he wasn’t around. He can hide, like really well…and that’s when I decided to make my escape. Thea thought she had me convinced that this crime spree was a bad idea. But I wasn’t going to stop yet. I’d just gotten started…and I had an entire route mapped out…don’t ask me how I distracted her and got away. There was a phone call. There was baby talk and cooing. ‘Nuff said. See? Somebody else wanted me to get away, too.)
I swiped a copy of Thea’s LORD’S FALL for this giveaway…you can win it. Just enter via the rafflecopter widget. All entries will be collected via the widget and all pertinent info is there. Winners will be announced on my (Shiloh’s) blog the week of November 5. And if you’re curious to read about the book that sent me on my crime spree…it’s called STOLEN. (Yes, I had to get the promo bit in there…)
ALSO! Grand prize…everybody who enters gets into for a $50 GC to the online retailer of their choice (from one of the following retailers) Barnes and Noble, Amazon, BAMM or All Romance Ebooks. You can enter at each blog, once a day. Yes, the hosting blogs are allowed to enter. 🙂
Visit Thea’s site to learn more about her books. Her latest title, LORD’S FALL, is due out. You can’t steal a copy, though. Really. You can get arrested for that. I’m still trying to figure out how to swipe Khalil, though.
This is a fun idea! Going to have a ball following this zany author around the web this week.
Shiloh should hide out at Cuelebre Enterprises. Nobody is going to break in there and the scenery would be spectacular.
I agree with Andrea! At least…that’s where I would hide : )
I think she should come to Las Vegas and hide. No one will ever find her here. There are too many great hiding spots.
Shiloh should hide on Fiji, just beware the island interior!
I suggest a tropical island for hiding, perhaps with a few fruity beverages and a pool boy. Just in case…
So… if Shiloh has to go into hiding, where do you think she should go? In this world or a fictional one? I’d vote for Surebleak if it’s to be fictional. Get herself under Korval protection. Never hurts to have dragons on your side.
This is a fun contest to follow around – I enjoyed Stolen very much- if can see my review on goodreads
You can come in my house in small town Iowa. No one would find you here. It is very slow-paced and not much to do than sit and read a good book.
Thanks for the giveaway. This book sounds great.
Hide in plain sight. Like Phoenix, AZ is a good one as any.
This sounds like a fun contest.
Somewhere Dragons wouldn´t dare.. But i wouldn´t know where that would be, =) sorry.
Love the giveaway & Happy Monday!
//Linda
You could hide out in wine country.

I think she should hide in Tuscany :).
Hi, I think TAHITTI is a fantastic place to hide out!~ sun, beach, ocean…..skimpy clad people (no where to hide anything that could be dangerous to you!)…long cool drinks with little umbrellas.
Thanks for the giveaway…I will be closely following your escapades!
Good Luck
You got Thea’s flesh and blood to abet you?! What did you bribe her with? Teething rings? Princess toys?
Need to hide? Try in the middle of a cornfield, here in Indiana.
Hide where I live ~ Avonmore, PA ~ when I moved here, everyone said where the hell is that?? My answer was 3 miles from where I work.
I think she should go someone hot. Like a tropical island. Beach, sun, secluded hut,hot guys.. Might as well enjoy it while you’re hiding out 🙂
Come hide in Manhattan. There are so many people you’ll never get caught!
Robin Greene
I like fun!!!
Hiding from Dragos would be pretty tough – it certainly didn’t work for Pia. On the other hand, that turned out pretty well for her, so maybe she should just let herself be found.
Mmm.. very good question. It might sound odd, but I’d suggest finding some sort of festival.. (ie: Renaissance, Scottish, you Name it! lol) Everyone is dressed up and in costume.. so I’d imagine it might be harder to spot someone if everyone is dressed similarly or wearing a lot of make up. 😉
Shiloh should come hide at my house!
Shiloh could always hide out in Whistler, BC, Canada. I was there once a couple years ago and it’s really beautiful. She might like it. 🙂
Up in mountains in Canada,
Great prizes thanks
I think Shiloh Walker should hide out in Sedona, AZ. It’s a small town and quiet. Everybody is neighborly and won’t intrude.
Tahiti sounds like a great hiding place to me!
Everyone always checks out NY, so Shiloh should hide out in the suburbs of NJ 🙂
Hawaii would be a nice place to hide!
I suggest Shiloh hide in Hawaii. While she is hiding she could relax a little since she is stressed out. Maybe go to the beach?
She should go to Iceland.
Come over to my place, Shiloh! We’ve got a lovely guestroom, and no one would think to look for you here!
Paris, because if you must hide do it in style.
So… I’m having mad fun reading your suggestions. BUT… 😉 Those of you telling me to hide out at Cuelebre Enterprises? I think you want me to pay for my crimes. I’m trying to AVOID Thea. And you want to send right into Draco’s lair? You’re crazy!
:OP Send me to Khalil instead.
I think Shiloh should hide out with Larissa Iona’s Lord’s.
This is a fun tour. You should hide out in Vegas, baby. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
I can’t wait to read these books! I like the idea of you stealing these books and sharing them to promote your book.
I suggest you to go to Rune and Carling. They will hide you well, Shiloh 😀
You could hide at my house nobody would find you there. Sounds like your having fun with this tour.
Fun tour. Cant wait to read Stolen and all the other books.
Who should Shiloh take with her for protection?
Damon from Blade Song. He’d protect her. 😉
I am working my way backwards through the tour and enjoying the craziness! Good luck with the release.
What a creative blog tour–thanks for all the fun, Shiloh.
she should go to amazon hq and swipe us all kindle fires
This is such a cool idea!
thanks for the contest. I think you mean unfortunatly Dragos wasnt there cause not only could you have swiped the books but you could have send Dragos my way.
