Re-Design Launch Party & Giveaway!

As many of you know, we have gone through multiple layouts here at The Book Pushers. Not long ago we decided to undergo another change and worked tirelessly at coming up with logos, designs, color schemes and all those fun things that come with a re-design.

As you can see, we are SO incredibly happy with the final product. We think the new design gives the blog a classy and fantastical feel.

We would like to give a shout out to super extraordinaire book illustrator Joanne Renaud, the incredible designer of our new header and logo. Joanne, you did an amazing job and we are so happy with the final product.

We’d also like to give huge thanks to our very own Lou. She has re-designed the site, is working on our new Twitter page, and created new avatars based on the new logo. Lou, without you we would be stuck.

So today we say goodbye to the trusty old beige theme and welcome in the new Book Pushers!

To celebrate the launch of the new redesign, us Book Pushers have pooled together and are giving away the biggest prize to date! (We are sorry, but due to Geographical and Tax Restrictions – only open to US and the UK)

  1. I love the new look. The colors are calming and soothing, the print is easily readable and the site is extremely easy to navigate.

I would love to be entered for the Kindle package.

One of my recent favorites is Sweet As Sin by Inez Kelley

  2. I like the light colors & the romantic (with snark) feel to the header.
I would love to be entered in the kindle giveaway. My recent favorite is Dragon Bound by Thea Harris.

  3. I like the colors the best. I hope I can win the Kindle package! My favorite romance all time has to be the Outlander series! I also love the Black Dagger Brotherhood!

  4. I like the drawings. This is my first time on your website – I followed a link from Shannon Stacey’s blog. Please enter me for the Kindle package.

My favorite romance. It’s so hard to choose! Night Play from Sherrilyn Kenyon is far from a perfect book, but I’ve re-read it so many times, I think I have to count it as my favorite. I’m a big contemporary fan though – Jill Shalvis, Victoria Dahl, Shannon Stacey and Sarah Mayberry are all favorites.

  5. I love love love the new layout!! Especially the header. Its the perfect combo of romantic and mystical 🙂
I would LOVE to win the gift card as my AWESOME sister is giving me her nook!!
And of course reading all the fabulous book s on this list is defiantly a summer goal!

  6. This new website is awesome! Please enter me in the Kindle giveaway!

My favorite romance book is hard to say. It’s like which child do I love the best?!?

Nora Roberts is one author that I will read anything of!

  7. The site has a very clean, sophisticated feel. It is simple and pretty design and not at all distracting from the content.

I would prefer the Kindle package.

My favorite Romance novel is Lover Eternal by JR Ward.

  8. Website is great. Would love to win the kindle. I could never choose a favorite..It would be like picking a favorite kid..and I have six & love them all the same!!!!!!

  9. I love the new blog! It’s wistful and welcoming! I’d prefer the Kindle package. (Well, really I’d be quite happy with either!) I honestly don’t have one favorite book. However, the Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews is AMAZING, and the Alien series by Gini Koch is PHENOMENAL!!!!

  10. OMG, that’s a whole lotta goodies. You guys are amazing and am crossing my fingers to win.

I would love to say I want to enter for the kindle because those are some amazing e-books that come with it, but alas my loving husband got me one for Christmas, so please enter me for the print package

I love the new design and the soft colors and the header is gorgeous. Of course blue is my fav. color and I love how are the print is in blue on the right hand side.

I read so many romance books it’s hard to pick a favorite, but I’m going to go with a book I picked up when I was 15 and has stuck with me as a romance for the ages. For me, it’s one of the best stories of forbidden love. The ThornBirds

  11. I have to pick a package?! Really?! I am sweating bullets trying to decide. Ok, the Kindle would be great. But if you are so inclined to pick my name for the print package, well that is fab too!

How is it that I wasn’t already following this blog? I poked around a bit. The flow is good. The catagories are straight forward. What I like the most is the graphic. It’s really cool and memorable.

And, finally, my favorite all time romance novel. I tend to break down by catagory because they all bring something different to the table. The sereis that I recommend to everyone is Gail Carriger’s Parasol Protectorate. But my favorite all time series (though it’s not classified as romance it has one of the best love stories ever) is Jacqueline Carey’s Kushiel’s series.

  12. I love the new blog. It is very romantic. Please enter me in your contest for the kindle.

My favortie love story is any that I read. I recently finished Magic Slays and Hexed. Loved, loved, loved them both. Cannot wait for more Dali and Jim. I want to also see more Andrea.

    I

  13. I love the soft pastel colors, it’s very soothing and has a romantic feel to it. I would feel myself blessed to win either prize.

  14. I love the illustration…especially the irises in the background and all the scrollwork. Put me in for the kindle package.

I hate picking favorites so I will say my favorite right now is The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie but it could change any second.

  15. The new look is so pretty! I adore that banner. Stunningly drawn.
I am entering for the Print Package 🙂
My all-time favorite romance novel is Spirited Away by Cindy Miles, which is oh-so-very romantic!

  16. I like the color combination and the clean lines.

Both the Kindle and the Print packages look great, but I’d go with the Print and swag.

Gosh, fave romance novel? Julie Ann Long’s “What I Did For A Duke” is a recent fave.

  17. I like the retro color. It’s very eye catching yet calming. Clean and simple (as in not cluttered). I’d like to enter for the kindle. My favorite romance (or an entire series) Adrien English Mysteries by Josh Lanyon.

  18. I love the classy feel- the colors, the header and the emblems remind me of olden times and flowery lines. I’d love to enter both giveaways, but If I had to pick I would go for the Kindle package. Finally… favorite Romance novel has got to be Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

  19. Maria S (pronounced Mariah)

I love the new layout. It is very simple, great calming colors and not cluttered!

I would be thrilled with either print or kindle but my first choice would be Kindle!

All time favorite romance novel…wow what a hard question!!! If I am really loving a series I am reading it will be my favorite at the time and I can gush on and on about it…but all time favorite…have to go with BDB series!

Thank you very much for the chance at such a great giveaway!

  20. Love the colors and easy navigation of the new site!! Fave romance is the succubi series by Jill Myles. 🙂

  21. This is my very first time visiting your site, so I really don’t have a comparison, but it’s very, very puuuurdy 🙂 Very classy, easy to navigate and most importantly, the background is not so dark and/or obnoxious that the print is hard to read!

OMG! What awesome prize packages! I’d be happy with either 😉 And like others before me, it’s tooo hard to pick a favorite book. I’m a book hoarder and I love them all!

Thanks for such an awesome and generous giveaway!

  22. This is my first time on your website – I followed a link from Ilona Andrew’s Tweet; but I have already seen some new authors/books to read. Please enter me for the Kindle package. Favorite right now is Mercy Thompson’s Series by Patricia Briggs; also Edge series by Ilona Andrews.

  24. Like the site, love the color… I would like to be entered into the kindle package, It sounds so very amazing! I also followed the link from Ilona Andrew’s FB page. As for a favorite Romance…I would say Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon. That does not mean I don’t love others, but you said Romance.

  25. Looking good, ladies. Looking good!

Ummm… I cannot narrow down my list of most favorite romances to one, so I’m gonna cheat and say my most recent read: Unlocked by Courtney Milan. 😉

  26. Love the colors of the new design… and the dots and stripes are nice, too!

My all-time favorite would have to be Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. My most recent favorite would probably be Exclusively Yours (and the others in that series!) by Shannon Stacey.

  27. Wendy Patterson

    The site looks amazing!

My favorites have to be anything by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

  28. I like the new design. And wowza, what a prize package. Count me in for the Kindle contest. And favorite romance? That’s a toughie. I think I have to go back to one of my earliest romances– Heaven, Texas by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

  29. Lizabeth S. Tucker

I apologize, but I’ve never been here before. Thanks to @AngelaJames for pointing me in this direction. I think the site is beautiful. I appreciate the clean lines without the clutter that too many websites indulge in. Just because you can put 100 things on the page doesn’t mean you have to!

My all-time favorite romance novel? That’s like asking me to pick my favorite child, if I had any. I would have to say any of the In Death novels by J. D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts).

And I would definitely LOVE to be entered in the Kindle giveaway.

  30. Janhvi Jagtap

i absolutely love the new website!!the colours are soo pretty and blue is very refreshing and fresh:)

i would love to be entered for the print book prize pack!

    thanks for the awesome giveaway!!

  31. I like the new design, it’s easy on the eyes. Will be visiting much more often now. Would like to enter for the Kindle. Thanks.

  32. Love the pink background and the ease of jumping to whatever category I’m looking for. It’s user friendly and you get that welcome feeling as soon as you click on to the site and see the combination of graphics and color.

    Entering for the Kindle
Jane Eyre is my favorite romance novel

  33. I love the new look – the colors are very soothing and the artwork in the header is lovely! All time fav romance novel would….gosh, that’s a hard one….still think overall, I’d have to go with Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Please enter me in the drawing for the prize pack, I’m positively drooling over the list of goodies!

  34. Congratulations, the blog looks great! I like how bright and cheerful it is, and that it’s fast to load and easy to navigate, even on my phone. It’s a great balance of looks and usability, good job! Favorite romance novel is tough, but I have to say Palomino by Danielle Steel. And I’m entering for the kindle package. Thanks for the opportunity!

  35. The new digs look great! I really like the color scheme.

The ebook prize pack is awesome (and my pick).

My fave romance? A hard choice, but if I were to pick 1 contemporary romance, I’d go with
Lisa Kleypas’ Sugar Daddy. Gets to me every time.

Congrats on the redesign, and thanks for hosting the giveaway! 🙂

  36. Hi

Thanks for hosting this contest, I would like to be entered for the Kindle contest.

Even though its not a romance book, I feel the Devil’s teardrop by Jeffrey Deaver has a very good romantic sub-plotline.

  37. Michele Benard

I like the colors the best I also like the graphics.I think my all time Fav romance novel is This Heart Of Mine by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

  38. Alana Caldwell

I found this blog about a week or two ago. I really love the new design. It reminds me of when I read my first romance novel.

  39. The page looks lovely! Big fan of the color scheme.

Entering for the Kindle package. My favorite romance can vary from week to week, depending on my mood. Right now I have to say a paranormal romance called Blessed, by Ann Mayburn.

  40. I like the blues and greens, and the rosier pinks of the blog, as well as the general layout. I do not like the hot pink or the red, those hurt my eyes a little bit. I also really like the banner, as I like the art style and the fact that a book is front and center. Thumbs up for that :).

I’m entering for the Kindle moreso than the print book package because I have no eBook reader and I am beginning to feel the need to switch over to electronic formats. I have a lot of books that I have had for years (basically never get rid of books, and I’ve shopped at a few “all you can stuff in this bag for $2” book sales).

My all time favorite romance novel is a very hard thing to pick. Almost everything I read now has at least a bit of romance in it. The Bride and the Beast by Teresa Medeiros. I really like retellings of fairy tales, even if they are not so obviously done. I also love that the main female character is intelligent, strong, caring, and not a tiny twig of a woman. I also like that she’s in her 20s, as some of the older historical romances I read had girls as young as 14 being the main female lead, and that’s a bit awkward when you (as a reader) consider 14 year olds to still be children. I also really like the other characters and the side romance, so it is definitely a favorite if not my most favorite romance novel.

Thank you for this opportunity and for your blog :D!

  41. I love the new design, the colours are beautiful and the font is easy to read. I’d be happy with either prize though if I had to pick it would be the kindle. Now for the tough question I’ll write it quick so I don’t change my mind again! my favourite romance would have to be either Juliet Mariller’s the son of shadows or Jules Watson the swan maiden.

  42. It is a beautiful design, the colours are nice and very stylish.

My favorite romance book is Heaven, Texas by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
I would love the kindle but unfortunately I live in Est Europe so I must apply for the Print Package, because bookdepository.com delivery wideworld.

  43. I like the elements in blue but not the pink ones. I’m entering for the Print Package. About Romance, I prefer when it is mixed with other genres or if the novel is not exactly a romance. So I’ll say Persuasion by Jane Austen.

  44. Sharon Brooks

Like the new look combining romance & the love of reading. Really like the author interviews that I have read from time to time on this blog. Looking forward to more.. Don’t know if I have a favorite romance novel since I have thoroughly enjoyed so many Julie Garwods and Nora Roberts works. Please keep up the great interviews.

  45. Sharon Brooks

Just thought of a book that was so quietly beautiful in the submission of romance. It was enough to make one;s heart sigh with sweet sorrow when the book ended. The title is,The Rose Rent by Ellis Peters. She (yes, Ellis Peters is a woman) wrote of love, murder, honor, heroism, mystery and romance taking place in12th century England in all of her books. Those of you who haven’t read her should give her books a try. You will not be disappointed.

If my name is selected for being a winner I would like the Kindle packed with all of those goodies.
