Eight years ago, former Army sergeant Nathan Schultz let the love of his life disappear without a fight. After watching everyone around him find happiness while he slipped further away, he’s finally ready to fight for Chelsea Callaghan—and he’s not afraid to play dirty.
Chelsea has always followed her conservative family’s rules—with one heartbreaking exception. When she receives an invitation to an old high school friend’s wedding, she knows who’s to blame. Though she goes solely to give Nathan a piece of her mind, he blackmails her into staying the entire week. With him.
There’s no way she’ll bow to Nathan’s will without making him pay. Unfortunately, revenge is a dish best served fully clothed, and they can’t be in the same room without losing theirs. As insatiable, anger-fueled lust shifts into something more, they begin to lose sight of why they can’t be together. But with so many unforgivable wrongs between them, can Nathan and Chelsea ever make things right?

What a fun second chance love story! After reading Wrong Bed, Right Guy I was super anxious to read all about Nathan, and boy oh boy did Robert do him good! 🙂
Nathan has a secret that those closest to him don’t know: he married his high school sweetheart eight years ago, and never divorced. He has never stopped loving Chelsea, so when the time comes for his brother Gabe’s wedding, Nathan’s going to pull out all the stops to win Chelsea back.
Chelsea hates to disappoint her family, since she does it so often. A secret marriage to her highschool sweetheart would definitely be enough to send her dad into apoplexy. But Nathan is playing dirty and will only sign the divorce papers if Chelsea spends the weekend with him. He does everything and anything he can think of to remind her just how perfect they were together, and Chelsea can feel her resolve melting as quickly as her panties… But will the passion that never died out between them be enough for a future?
I’ve adored Nathan since I first read about him. Getting to know more of his backstory made me love him even more. The fact that he pined for his high school sweetheart and wife who left him all those years ago just endeared him to me even more. His plan to win her back was so fun and sexy, and I loved watching them both get the chance to fall in love with each other, as adults.
It took a little longer for me to really enjoy Chelsea. I was a little upset to hear her (IMO) half-assed reasons for running from Nathan all those years ago. On top of it, she still let her family steamroll her into being a shell of her true self. I wanted her to lift her shoulders and just admit to her family that the woman she wanted to be, wasn’t the girl they expected her to be. I hated that she allowed so many people to walk all over her before she finally got the chance to grow a backbone and stand on her own.
The romance between these two was so good, though. I had a little bit of a hard time believing that neither one of them had sex with anyone else during their 8 year separation, but it did lead to some super steamy moments early on in the book. I loved that they were both so incredibly attracted to each other, and that the passion they felt as young adults was still just as hot, if not more so. I enjoyed watching them relearn one another, in ways neither expected.
I do wish we would have been given the chance to see Chelsea’s family a little more after the big reveal of her and Nathan’s relationship. Hopefully Robert has something up her sleeve to provide us with a little novella peeking back into their lives, because I really feel like there is so much more these two need to overcome together. While I wholeheartedly believe they’ll make it, I’d like to see more of their struggle. 🙂
All in all I thought this was a great second chance love story, with Nathan and Chelsea both super committed to their relationship. I thought as an individual, Chelsea had a lot of growing to do, and wish we could have seen a little more of her strength once it finally came out at the very end. But, the romance was fabulous and the sexy times were off-the-charts good. I can’t wait to read more of what Robert has to offer!
I give Two Wrongs, One Right a B
