Since it’s debut in 2009, the Tucson Festival of Books has grown to become one of the biggest book festivals in the US. Almost every genre is represented, and the festival does an amazing job of bringing together authors and readers who share a love of all things books.
I’ve been going to the festival every year now, and have met some amazing people along the way. Gini Koch, Marcy Rockwell, Erin Quinn, HelenKay Dimon, Shiloh Walker, Zoe Archer, Brenda Novak, Julia Quinn, and many more have come to Tucson, signed books, and connected with readers.
This year, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting authors that I was really excited about. I got the chance to corner Sharon Sala between panels, and chatted her up about everything from her life in Oklahoma to her writing career, to the joys of children. Cathy Maxwell and Cathy McDavid had a wonderful panel where they joked about their writing process, and we all got to share in some laughs about the growth of their books. I also had the pleasure of chatting with new-to-me author Sharon Hamilton about the sexy men in the Navy SEALS, as well as the real estate market (of all things).
It was a great festival this year, and while I didn’t have the chance to go to as many panels as I normally do, just walking around and seeing just how many book lovers there are in Tucson gave me great joy.
I urge both readers and authors who are interested in getting out of the cold in mid-March to come to Arizona for next year’s festival.
I have two wonderful prize packs to giveaway this year.

Good luck!
I would like either prize package. I would like to meet Sharon Shinn or Karen Chance or Nalini Singh or…There are so many I would like to meet.
All of those authors are new to me, so I’d be happy to read any of their books or meet any of them!
I’d go for package 2, though they are both wonderful. I would love to meet Gini Koch (who is also Anita Ensal). I am glad you had such a great time, and you are right, walking between so many booklovers is the most amazing thing of a convention.
Either one of the prize packs would be awesome to win! Thanks so much for the opportunity. I’ve met quite a few authors over the years but Gini Koch is one I haven’t met yet. I think it would be wonderful to meet her, she’s got such a great sense of humor.

How wonderful that you’ll be going to Tucson for the festival! I went to college there and have missed the warm sunny weather since I left! I hope you have a wonderful time while you’re there.
I’d love to win a copy of The Rogue’s Proposal by Jennifer Haymore!
Either pack would be amazing thank you, but I will say #2.
I’d love to meet Neil Gaiman or Eloisa James or Terry Pratchett.
I’d be interested in either. I’d like to meet Charlaine Harris to discuss her Southern vampire series and it’s interpretation as True Blood on tv.
I would love package #1, although both are great! I would be thrilled to meet Carla Kelly, Patricia Briggs, or Ilona Andrews (both of them, if possible!), and so many others! Thanks so much for the giveaway.
