Welcome to the 3rd day of our bonanza giveaway and tour of THE TWELVE KINGDOMS.
Today’s location is Aerron.
Aerron
Once composed of fertile farmlands, like its neighbors, Avonlidgh and Duranor, Aerron now comprises a vast desert. With every passing year, the ongoing drought takes more of the fields, turning crops to dust, the soil blowing east to Elcinea and revealing the red-gold sands and rock formations that now characterize the region. The desert holds its own spectacular beauty and boasts unusual lizards that change their color to blend with the landscape. The days and nights remain very warm, all year around, which leads those with the freezing sickness or the painful joints of old age to seek out the gentler climate. The growing population, however, tests the already limited water supply. Though negotiations are in progress to obtain water from Avonlidgh, the method of conveyance remains in doubt. At this time, it may be best to enjoy Aerron only as a visitor.
