Beth Kery’s Make Me serial enters into part five. Jacob and Harper grow closer to one another, while Harper is learning to navigate his hectic and mysterious world. Harper goes with Jacob to San Francisco and while there’s little smexy times, this instalment concentrates on revealing small nuggets of information about Jacob’s past life and how he became who he is today with his past relationship to Clint Jeffries.
Make Me Risk It is more of a slower paced instalment, with not much happening in the past story when they were kids. I was more interested in who Regina is to Jacob. I love that Harper stays sensible about his still unknown relationship with Regina and while there is jealously, she also has empathy for Regina’s troubles. The ending leaves on a sexy cliffhanger, as well as delving into their vulnerability of being so intensely attracted to one another. I can’t wait to read part six with those silk ropes.
I give Make Me Risk It a B.
