Greetings, this year started off with internet kerflunklies and seems to be concluding with snow storms. Several things changed on the personal front this year. I moved over the summer and went back to school full time for a required block of instruction for my day job then decided to go ahead and get my master’s degree at the same time. As a result I really haven’t read as much over 2012 as I would normally. Reading, especially over the last six months, has mostly been for review, for school, some comfort re-reads, and a few “treats” as rewards for completing assignments. Despite the reduced number of books I read I had a nice percentage of good reads. As a result I ended up slightly less disciplined than my fellow Book Pushers who were able to pick a finite number of books. I umm ended up picking authors in various genres. **grin** These are the authors who all had books published in 2012 that transported me from my worries of day to day life into an entirely different place. I want to say thank you to them for inviting me into their imagination.
My best of list for 2012 is split into genres with links to information on Goodreads and if we reviewed any of the ones I particularly enjoyed on The Bookpushers the thumbnails will take you to those reviews. Enjoy!
