Dear Readers,
Today I will be issuing a challenge. Since some of my fellow Pushers have said they won’t be joining me in a joint review for a book which has an interesting penis premise, I will be asking and challenging the readers of the blog to choose a book for me in the list below. Dinoerotica is riding high but I would rather choose a book that has plot and a good romance. The book has to have something interesting and have a fun or campy element, which is why I chosen this shortlist of books. If this works we may do this challenge again as a regular feature.
The chosen book will also become a book club discussion so I will announce the winning book by the end of this week. I’ll also announce when the review will be up so you can join me in the discussion. Don’t be shy. You know you want to!
I want readers to choose a book in the list below:
First book: Alien Sex 101 (Alien Sex Ed, Book 1) by Allie Ritch
When New Earthling Quinn makes love to his Allurian bride on their wedding night, he discovers a few surprises. Like the fact that losing his virginity to an Allurian woman is painful. He and Xindra are able to work things out, but they realize other interracial couples on their planet face similar problems. They start an Alien Sex Ed class, but this isn’t your ordinary anatomy lesson. This class is very hands-on and more than a little steamy. Xindra’s friend, Mera, is the first to benefit when she meets and falls for one of their students, Trett. As an Ibration, Trett doesn’t thrust during sex; his penis vibrates. That’s perfect for an Oquaran like Mera, who’s so sensitive she comes almost instantly and can’t stand a lot of chafing. When Xindra and Quinn notice more than one of their students checking each other out, they have to wonder. Could the romance between Trett and Mera be just the beginning?
Second book: Grim by M.K. Eidem
King Grim Vasteri is the strongest and most feared warrior in the Tornian Empire. He is the King of Luda, blood brother to the Emperor and his line will die with him. He will have no offspring for no female would join with him for once he was scarred he was considered ‘unfit’. The Tornian Empire has been dying ever since the great infection caused the birth of females to become a rarity. Since then they have been searching the known universes for compatible females. The Emperor’s discovery of a compatible female on a slave ship changed that. He’d ordered Grim to find his Empress’ home world so more ‘unprotected’ females could be obtained, knowing Grim would never be allowed to Join with one.
Lisa Miller is a widowed mother of two little girls, Carly and Miki. Her husband died just a year ago, after a long battle with cancer and she misses him immensely. Friends want her to start dating again but in her heart, she knows there isn’t a man on the planet she could love like her Mark. Who could love their girls like their own. Therefore, she’ll stay alone.
When Lisa is discovered ‘unprotected’ at her husband’s grave, she wakes on an alien ship heading for an alien world. Refusing to accept this she confronts the large males, demanding she be returned to her children. Seeing his chance to have a female, Grim agrees to accept and protect her offspring, if she agrees to Join with him and only him. Realizing this is the only way she can retrieve her children Lisa agrees and the Tornian Empire changes forever.
And finally we have book 3.
How Not To Date A Centaur by Stephanie Burke
How to date a pair of centaurs? Get a good grip and hope for a long, bumpy ride. Good girl Kiara Stone only wanted to have a little fun for once in her life, and parachuting over Cambodia seemed like a thrill. But crash landing through a mountain and landing in the land of the centaurs was almost too much. Now she is their goddess and under the protection of two very regal male warrior partners, Zeethan and Xaylu, and struggling to learn a new culture as foreign to her as her ways are to them. Hopefully she can learn fast enough not to start a war, destroy their whole belief system, and learn to date a pair of centaurs, because it looks like there is no returning home.
Challenge is set. The poll will be closed this Thursday, midnight, and the announcement of the winning book will be this Friday with the date of the review and book club discussion.

Okay, I would not read book 1 or 3, so I voted for book 2. I do like the covermodel.
Voted
That should be an interesting review.
I love how you keep it real, hon. Voted. Heh heh heh:-D
I think the second book has the most promise. I voted 😀
I voted as well. Go, Grim, Go. (It’s the only darn book you’ll get me to read for a joint review, Has.)
Oh Has, and here I was afraid there’d be nothing that could terrify my mother as thoroughly as the Penis Spike did. But these are some serious contenders. Thanks!
Do I vote for the book I would actually read, or the crack? These decisions are hard!
Also, that centaur book was not as frightening as the one I actually started reading. Mostly because this one doesn’t look like it’s got dubcon. One of these days I really am going to write a repressed, monogamous centaur. Just to go against what is obviously the type.
